Adam
Karni-Cohen
Partner
Adam focuses on investor relations, operations and deal sourcing. He has served as a director at Bovingdons and DJ Civils, and an adviser at PNMsoft.
Prior to founding Thwack, Adam's roles included: COO at J Rothschild Services, an organisation overseeing several billion dollars of permanent capital; and Bain & Company, where he advised multi-nationals across the UK, Europe and South Africa.

Adam holds a BA in History from the University of Cambridge.

Adam loves to talk (a little too much) about biographies and his favourite albums. He has two young children who wake him early in the morning.
Johnny
Tollemache
Investment Manager
Johnny focuses on deal sourcing, analysis and execution.
​
Prior to joining Thwack, Johnny worked in Corporate Finance, advising companies with an EV between £5m - £120m. During this time, he advised on 13 UK transactions, including the sale of Bovingdons by Thwack Partners. Before that, Johnny worked in Strategy at FTI Consulting and Alchemmy.
​
Johnny holds a BA in Ancient History from the University of Bristol and an MSc from Imperial College Business School.

Johnny is an avid kitesurfer and general fan of the outdoors, with a particular love for the Scottish Highlands.
Theo
Wieder
Partner
Theo focuses on transactions, company strategy and deal sourcing. He has served as a director at Bovingdons and DJ Civils, and chairman of Toad Hall.
​
Prior to founding Thwack, Theo was at EY where he advised on a number of acquisitions including Evans Cycles by ECI partners. Before that, he was a member of the core team to set up Nithia Capital, a Private Equity house deploying over $300m.

IMC holder with a BA in Social Sciences from Durham University​.

Theo has watched most documentaries ever made and is a dab hand with a power drill. He has two young children who keep him up late at night.
Max
Astaire
Impact Manager
Max focuses on operations, analysis and portfolio management.
Prior to joining Thwack, Max worked as head of finance at a hospitality group, which grew revenue 400% during his time there. He previously worked at Compass Group PLC in their education sector. Max is an ICAEW Chartered Accountant, having trained at MHA Macintyre Hudson.
Max holds a MENG in Chemical Engineering and Business Management from the University of Manchester.
Max is a Tottenham season ticket holder and the fastest runner in the team. He recently ran the Athens and New York Marathons.
